There are three ways to make a reservation at the Iron Gate Inn...
(a) Call and we'll take your reservation by phone (1 - 620 - 221 - 7787).
(b) e-mail your reservation request to the Inn (IronGateInn@yahoo.com). (c) Use the "Check Availability" link right below to make your reservation via the on-line booking system.
To Confirm a Reservation: Your reservation is confirmed when a valid credit or debit card accompanies your reservation request (whether by phone or using the on-line reservation method). You may also confirm a reservation with a cash deposit in place of a credit card (deposits refundable at check-out). At the time a reservation is booked with a credit card, Iron Gate Inn may pre-authorize the card in the approximate amount of your reservation to hold that amount available on the card in case you choose to charge your stay to that card. If you decide not to charge your stay to the credit or debit card, Iron Gate Inn will cancel out the pre-authorization at the time some other payment is received or cancel it out all together if the reservation is simply cancelled in a timely fashion (14 days in advance).
** Reserving the Entire Inn:
The entire Iron Gate Inn (all Guest Rooms & spaces) is available for rental for private groups, family reunions, corporate retreats, private wedding parties and other special events for an off-season daily rate of $499 and a peak-season daily rate of $599. If renting the entire Inn you can enjoy exclusive use of all Guest Suites, parlors and other public areas of the Inn and breakfast is provided daily for up to 10 Guests when rentin the entire Inn. Please call 1-620-221-7787 to receive a Special Event Rental Contract and details including pricing. Click this link to download the Special Event Contract (pardon our work, but form not yet click-able). Groups are welcome to bring in some or all of their own food and/or use the kitchen to prepare their own food or the Iron Gate Inn will be happy to provide food arrangements for your group for an extra amount. Just as breakfast is included with all individual Guest rooms, breakfast (for 10 persons) is also included with rental of the entire Inn. If more than 10 persons in your party, an extra charge of $12 per person may apply.
** Reservation Cancellations: Once confirmed, a reservation or event may be cancelled without charge with at least a 2-day advance notice. Reservations made within 2 days of the reservation date are not able to be cancelled, however reservations may be transferred to someone else. Within 2 days of the reservation, follow-through on the reservation is required. Some exceptions may apply. Please call the Iron Gate Inn on the toll free line (620) 221 - 7787 if needing to cancel a reservation and speak with someone who will cancel your reservation when you call. Do not e-mail reservation cancellation requests to the Inn as we cannot be responsible for e-mail failures or not receiving the e-mail in a timely fashion. Creating a reservation and accompanying that reservation with a credit and/or debit card constitutes acceptance with all of the Iron Gate Inn's terms and conditions.
Reservation Cancellation Charges: Cancelling a reservation which was created "on-line" will not incur a cancellation charge, however reservations which were made over the phone and are cancelled are subject to a 15% cancellation fee.
** Special Request Reservations: Iron GateInn is experienced and committed to making sure that persons with special needs can get around and use all portions of the Bed and Breakfast comfortably and conveniently. If you might have difficulty with certain aspects of the Bed & Breakfast, please call us (1 - 620 - 221 - 7787) in advance and we'll make sure your stay is independent & enjoyable!
**Payment: On payment, our preference is cash, however the Inn also gladly accepts gift certificates from either the Iron Gate Inn or Serenity Bed and Breakfast Inn, in-state personal checks, travelers checks and MC & VISA credit and debit cards as well as MC & VISA gift cards. Effective 01/01/2013, The Iron Gate Inn continues to accept BedAndBreakfast.com gift cards, however there is a 20% surcharge to the gift card as 20% is what BedAndbreakfast.com charges B&Bs to redeem the card. Pre-payment w/ a deposit (refundable at check-out) is also accepted. We do not currently accept AmEx or Discover. On card charges and all checks, the Inn's policy is to add a 5% processing charge to the final tab (which includes taxes). When paying with a credit or debit card and the card is physically present the convenience fee is 5%. When paying by credit or debit card and the card is NOT physically present at the time of processing a 6% convenience fee is added to the final tab. Creating a reservation constitutes acceptance of this processing charge and all policies outlined on this page.
**Pets: Small pets (dogs and cats under 20 lbs) are welcome at the Iron Gate Inn (with prior approval of the Innkeeper). Prior approval is usually done at the time a reservation is made. Because some Guests have pet allergies to dander (some severe), the Iron Gate Inn thoroughly deep cleans (dusts everything) and vacuums a room whenever a pet has stayed. Because of the extra labor invovled in deep cleaning a room after a pet, there is a one-time charge of $20 for a pet. Because pets have accidents, a crate or kennel is required and the pet must be kept in the crate or kennel. Pets are not allowed to be "loose" (and/or unattended) in the Inn and when going through the Inn with your pet (for example to and from your room) it must be on a leash (for the safety and comfort of other Guests). The Iron Gate Inn is unable to house your pet in non-public areas of th Inn (such as the basement or garage). Please contact the Innkeeper if bowls or plates are needed to feed your pet.
**Kids: Kids are welcome at the Iron Gate Inn... no prior approval needed! Kids, ages 2 and under are not considered a "person" for the sake of a reservation, but kids 3 and over are. For example a couple traveling with a child (ages 3 and up) would incur an "extra person" charge of $25 for a 3rd person. Included in the "extra person" charge is an extra breakfast, an extra bed set-up, extra towels and toiletries. Any damages created by kids are the responsibility of the Guest party. When checking in, a damages agreement will be signed which authorizes the Iron Gate Inn to retroactively charge the card on file for damages and/or excessive soiling (for example food or glitter spilled on carpet or pen/crayon markings).
**Other Terms and Conditions: Creating a reservation constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions on this "Reservations" page and acknowledges that the person making the reservation has read and agreed to these terms and conditions both in the website and in the on-line reservation system (Webervations).
