MURDER MYSTERIES:
The 3rd Saturday of every month (or upon request), the Iron Gate Inn offers a Murder Mystery Package for $60 / couple which includes the hosted Murder Mystery - hosted by Meredith - a talented and creative theater student w/ lots of experience doing Murder Mysteries! Props, name tags and character roles are provided to all as you arrive (between 6-7pm). Guest Rooms (optional) are available for $119/couple. Single persons are very welcome. The single rate for the Murder Mystery is $30 and the single room rate is $109. The Iron Gate Inn has five different Murder Mysteries including, "Greased at the Diner", "Bachelorettes & Bullets" and "The Watersdown Affair". You can join a regularly scheduled murder mystery or bring your own group for a memorable birthday celebration, reunion or team building event.
Arrive at the Inn between 6:00pm and 7:00pm and appetizers and munchies are out all night long for snacking. Complimentary historic tours are offered during this time (6-7pm) and if staying overnight, breakfast orders are taken during this time.
The Murder Mystery then starts at 7:00pm. Remember, you have the right to be silent (forever) at the Iron Gate Inn's "The Watersdown Affair" where everyone is a suspect! All props will be furnished by the Inn. It's good (but certainly not required) to bring some clothing appropriate for your character - after all who wants to see a DEAD CORPSE out of character??? For some Murder Mysteries, your character information will be e-mailed to you in advance. For some it's more fun to assign characters once everyone's arrived. Someone's done something very very bad and it's your job to figure out . . . who done it!
The Murder Mystery lasts about 2 hours and should end sometime around 9:00pm-ish. Professional actors need not apply!! After a fun evening of mystery and intrigue, Guests may retire to their rooms for cozy night's sleep, but it's probably best to lock your door just in case the culprit is still on the loose! It's a whole evening of comraderie and fun with delicious munchies & snacks for $60 / couple or $30 / individual . . .

The next morning, enjoy your choice of a sunny full breakfast entree (omlettes and pancakes are usually on the menu but other entrees too). Breakfast for every Guest is INCLUDED in the room rate. Breakfasts are served either in-room (breakfast-in-bed style w/ breakfast trays) or have breakfast in the main dining room. Breakfast serving times are flexible . . . anytime between 7:00am - 9:00am. But the fun doesn't stop there! Take yourself a snooze after breakfast! After breakfast is a perfect time for a late morning nap so you can hit the day well-rested and full of energy! Remember check-out isn't until noon and the Iron Gate Inn offers leisurely (4:00pm) late check-outs, too. Instead of an after-breakfast nap, request an after-breakfast massage done by an experienced professional massage therapist for only $60 for a full hour.
